 I am associated with producer director Akbar Khan's colossal production 'Taj Mahal - an eternal love story' since its embryonic stage. The dialogue writing for a mogul period film necessitates the use of Urdu language, carefully avoiding the jargon incomprehensible to the audience and adhering to the powerful'spoken word' style of the cinema. Then the thoughts and sentiments ascribed to the character by the story / screenplay writer have to be translated into words.
Hence it is like walking on a tight rope. As Akbar Khan is also the author of the story and screenplay of this film, he guided me admirably to accomplish my job of doing the spadework. I, in co-ordination with my co-writers, have endeavoured to give the viewers of this film our masterpiece, individually as well as collectively.
